December trends…upwards?
December brought an unusual trend not seen in the past few years since the Covid era ended. While in previous years, December was largely quiet, in 2024 Nursing and Technologist orders saw a nice increase in rates. Previously, hospitals would try to keep costs down and rates wouldn’t be too attractive in December compared to October and November as the year came to a close. However, this year December orders came with some increased bill rates – and the good news is that they were for January start dates. Hospitals would usually post higher rates if they needed an ASAP start before the holidays (call coverage), but this year those bill rate increases were offered for post holiday contracts. We’re optimistic this will lead to a nice 2025!
