The Resume Builder

We’re so happy that you decided to try our helpful resume builder!  We built this tool for the entire staffing community (travelers, recruiters, staff employees) so that the daunting task of updating your resume can be a little easier.  With the growth of MSP / VMS companies, details on resumes (like time gaps between assignments) matter, and can actually mean the difference between getting the assignment you want, or having them reject your resume and taking someone else instead.  After all, the name of the game is to get your resume into the manager’s hands as fast as possible!

As you get to each section, relevant help tips will pop up at the beginning with helpful tips and formatting notes.

Let’s start with how it all works.  From start to finish, it shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes if you have the information ready.

1. Enter your resume information (as much as you can / want to)
2. Click “Save” to save your progress
   1. You’ll receive a weblink to your saved resume information so you can go back and update anytime (save this somewhere handy if you want to come back!)
3. Then click “Download Resume” and you’ll see your brand new formatted resume!
4. To come back and edit your resume (now or in the future), just open a new window and paste the weblink.  Voila!

Skills Summary

This is a chance to show off your skills!  From the menu to the right, add a role / skill module that you want to highlight by choosing the role and clicking “Add”.

If you’d like to add a sentence or two describing your overall experience, consider putting that above in the “Objective” box.

This section should summarize all of the skills from your work experience (work experience is only going to be a timeline for brevity’s sake).

Suggested Roles:

• Cath Lab RT: CCL – Scrub, EP – Scrub, X-Ray Systems

Note:  Choose Roles that you are all 4s!  This is not an “assessment”, this is a marketing tool to showcase what you’re best at!

Employment History

Add each permanent staff job, travel assignment or vacation / time off.

Keep in mind, most MSP / VMS have strict rules about gaps in resumes.  To save everyone’s time, please use the “Add Time Off” button to explain any gaps between jobs.  It doesn’t need to be detailed, it just can’t be blank!

Note:  This is just a timeline.  Please use the Skills Summary above to showcase the skills you learned from your work experience!  That way we don’t duplicate skills and work experience from assignment to assignment and can shorten the resume.

Licensures

Add each license, licenses number, state / certification body of issuance and expiration date for each licensure or credential.  If you want to combine licenses (like RN from various states), that’s fine too!

Note:  If you’re an RN Compact License holder, enter “AZ (Compact)” as the state of Issuance to denote that Arizona is a “compact state / home state”.

Please add the Degree achieved, School and Dates of Attendance.

References

Please add the Name, Title and Facility and Contact Information for your references if you wish to include them on your resume (not everyone does).  It’s helpful for us recruiters to have those contact details.

Every candidate profile is required to have two professional references (usually from a supervisor, manager or charge / lead).  If we have to wait to get the reference information, that’s just going to delay us being able to submit you for the position, and nobody wants that!

It’s probably just as annoying for you as it is for us when recruiters don’t get all the information upfront and have to come back to you when you thought you were already submitted.  So let’s make it easy on us both!
