A Flat February…which isn’t a bad thing!
February stayed much the same as January, however that’s not a bad thing. January was stronger than years past, with rates staying higher and volumes consistent. Typically the start of the year brings lower rates and the strategy is to extend where you’re at, especially if you got a good rate in the fall contract season. Geographic trends are playing out as expected, with the Southeast (all the way out to Texas) having lower rates as they offer warmer weather. The West Coast and the Capitol region are consistently producing jobs with the highest average gross weekly pay. The Dakotas and the colder North have also posted some really nice assignments!
