October fire is burning…
It looks like the small fire that started in September decided to roar! October volumes were through the roof across all segments. Gross weekly average pay remained relatively flat, however. Normal geographic trends – colder locations having to offer more money to entice candidates, warmer locations trying to grab a discount – are playing out true to form. West Coast states raised rates largely due to licensing demands (requiring Radiologic Technologist licenses instead of RCIS, Washington state RCIS). But great to see the huge increase in volumes – some segments increased almost 50% versus September!
